The remnants of last week's Tropical Storm Gabrielle 400 miles south of Bermuda are encountering swift upper-level winds that will likely prevent re-organization of the system. Its chances of becoming a tropical depression or storm again are quite low, and the disturbance will remain in western Atlantic waters, well offshore from the United States east coast.
There are also a few waves of moisture in the western Caribbean and the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, but neither of these exhibit signs of major strengthening over the next couple of days.
