MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The tropics are somewhat active with Grace still churning in the eastern Atlantic. Elsewhere, the nearby low pressure system in the eastern Gulf of Mexico keeps the rain chances high for the local area.
Tropical Storm Grace (as of 5pm) has winds sustained at 45 mph. It is moving west toward the Lesser Antilles, but it is expected to die off before then, at around Thursday. Wind shear due to a nearby trough is helping to keep the system from strengthening much and Grace will continue to battle this shear through the week.
