MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Despite efforts of recent disturbances to gain at some slight momentum to organize into tropical systems over the weekend, there remains a hostile environment of dry air patches and zones of faster upper winds that have disrupted recent development trends. Because of these factors, which are expected to persist through the next several days, there should be no new tropical depressions forming in the tropical Atlantic basin.
