MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A couple of tropical lows in the distant waters of the north Atlantic, a few hundred miles west of the western African coast, have modestly held some rough organization since the weekend, but continue to fight against moderately dry air masses to the north of these systems. The drier air will hinder any efforts to rapidly intensify, and there's a low chance for further development in the near future.
Long-range forecast data toward the end of the month indicate the chance of perhaps one low in the Atlantic to gain considerable organization. If this scenario comes to pass, it would be at least 10 days from happening, and would possibly remain well into open Atlantic waters.
