MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The tropics stay relatively quiet with the exception of a cluster of thunderstorms near the Yucatán Peninsula. It has just a 10% chance of developing within the next 5 days. The chance is so low because of the system's likely interaction with land and wind shear, two things that tropical cyclones can't survive prolonged interaction with. No other disturbance has any chance of developing across the Atlantic ocean.
