The tropics still remain quiet at the start of September. With decent amounts of dry air and wind shear over the Atlantic Ocean it has been difficult for systems in the tropics to develop. However, there is currently a system in the eastern Caribbean Sea that has the potential to develop. This system looks to try and develop significantly in the next few days, but it is slightly disorganized, currently. The National Hurricane Center has given it though a 50% of development in the next few days. It is currently moving to the WNW at 10 mph.
