MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Hurricane Joaquin appears to have meddled with its final land mass in its path as a tropical cyclone, passing northwest of Bermuda earlier with Category 1 force. The future path of the storm covers open North Atlantic waters, where it will transition into a post-tropical system as it accelerates to the northeast in the long-range outlook.
While a few other unorganized disturbance lurk in the lower latitudes of the north Atlantic, none of these have significant chances to develop in the current environment of faster upper-level winds in this region of the Atlantic basin.
