MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The remnants of the once-ferocious Pacific Hurricane Patricia are lining the central Gulf coast with a shield of cloud cover and periods of heavy rain. The low-pressure system will not re-form as a tropical cyclone, as it moves northeast over the Deep South and loses some organization. Occasional breezes and scattered showers and rain are still possible locally, but no major impacts will otherwise be felt.
There are no other organized areas of disturbed weather in the tropical Atlantic basin that bear close monitoring or concern at this time.
