MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Temperatures forecast to fall into the lower 30s may trigger a brief period of freezing weather early Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a Freeze Warning for many south Georgia counties within the WTXL viewing region, effective midnight until 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Total freeze durations should not exceed six hours, with most areas impacted by the warning possibly reaching the 32° freezing mark a few hours before sunrise. Residents are urged to protect sensitive plant life, and considering providing warmth for pets and people who may otherwise be exposed to the falling temperatures.
Temperatures are expected to rebound swiftly after dawn.
