TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - What once was Hurricane Kate has transitioned out of a tropical system as it meets up with high-level winds in the upper-levels of the atmosphere called the jet stream. It still is packing a punch with winds of 70 mph and is moving quickly eastbound, however it will maintain its track over the open Atlantic waters and won't impact any land.
Other than Kate, there are no other areas of interest being monitored.
