TOKUSHIMA, JAPAN (WTXL/CNN) - Heavy snowfall has blanketed wide areas of Japan. Over three feet of snow was measured in some areas. Meteorologists warn of possible avalanches and disruptions to traffic and public transportation. People in nearly 200 households have been stranded due to snow blocking the roads. More than 1,400 households in this area spent much of the weekend without electricity.
