MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Aside from two Tropical storms, there is a new disturbance that may develop in the next week or so, totaling three areas that will be given attention for this Tropics check.

Karl is back to Tropical Storm status, strengthening significantly from yesterday, with 5am advisory winds at 60 mph. It's movement to the northwest will shift more to the north and then northeast over the western Atlantic. This path puts Bermuda at risk to see impacts of tropical storm winds, rain, and surf.

Tropical Storm Lisa is maintaining winds at 40 mph as of the 5am advisory. It is expected to die out over the eastern Atlantic over the next few days.

The new disturbance highlighted earlier is south of the Cape Verde islands and it has a 20% chance of development within the next five days as it continues west, toward the Lesser Antilles.
