MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Still monitoring two main systems in the tropics: Tropical Storm Edouard and the disturbance across southern Florida. Edouard will stay in the open Atlantic as it travels to the northwest. It will likely become a hurricane next week but will have no direct impacts on the U.S. The disturbance closer to home will definitely help to impact our weather in the area with increased rain coverage expected. It has a 40% chance of developing into a depression after it crosses Florida into the Gulf of Mexico.
