TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- A disturbance near the Lesser Antilles has a 30% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. Since this system is moving rapidly towards the west, development will be slow, if any development were to occur. During the weekend this disturbance will bring rain and gusty winds towards portions of the Leeward Islands.
Another tropical wave near the Capo Verde Islands has a 40% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. This system has some potential for development over the weekend before the disturbance encounters a less favorable environment over the central Atlantic next week.
