TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A large area of clouds and showers near the Lesser Antilles has a 30% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. Strong upper level winds are expected to hinder development over the next day or so but will still be a decent rain maker for the islands in the Lesser Antilles. By later in the week conditions are expected to become more favorable and some development is possible early next week.
An area of low pressure over the Yucatan Peninsula has a 20% chance of cyclonic formation. As it moves into the Gulf some development may be possible over the next few days. However by midweek it is expected to encounter a cold front which would make additional development unlikely.
