TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Hurricane Danny is a category 1 system with increasing winds of 85 mph. It is moving slowly west-northwest at 10 mph. Most computer models are in agreement that that Danny is on a track that could impact the northern Leeward Islands and Greater Antilles. Danny is a small storm so sudden and unexpected changes in intensity are possible.

Through today, conditions remain favorable for further strengthening. However tomorrow, due to drier air and increasing upper level winds, Danny is expected to weaken back into a tropical storm.

NOAA will be sending an aircraft in and around Danny this afternoon and an Air Force Reserve Unit is sending an aircraft in Saturday afternoon.

More updates will come later!
