As we make our way into the weekend and look at the tropics, all things point to quiet conditions. The only disturbance out in the Atlantic is the one we have been mentioning all week. The system, now located several hundred miles WSW of the Cape Verde Islands, has a 40% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours. The most recent runs of this system show it’s becoming more disorganized and less conducive for development during the next 5 days.
