MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- An area of low pressure about 1000 miles ENE of the Leeward Islands is continuing to organize and the chance of development for this system (whether tropical or subtropical) is now at 90%. A depression will likely form later on Friday. If a named storm forms, the name it would take is Oscar.
The system will travel north, then west, before getting caught up in an upper level trough that will carry it to the northeast. This system is likely not a threat to the U.S.
