The North Atlantic Basin is quiet as far as tropical development is concerned. An area of high pressure is retreating off the east coast of the United states, and the clockwise flow around the high will steer some tropical moisture over the Bahamas towards the Carolina coast. The tropical moisture over the Bahamas contain some remnants of what used to be tropical storm Chantal, but the moisture is only expected to bring some rain to the Carolina coast. The National Hurricane Center is still monitoring the cluster of storms and it has a 10% chance of further tropical development within the next two days.
