MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A cold front arrives today, bringing likely wash-out conditions before another lasting cold spell starting for the weekend and continuing into early next week.
Friday: Get ready for a rainy day today with a very light drizzle and cloudy skies to start the morning. As the cold front out west approaches, a line of showers and a few thunderstorms is expected to sweep through the Big Bend and South Georgia. After morning lows start in the 60s, highs are expected to stay mainly in the 60s with eastern counties getting a chance for lower 70s. Rain coverage today is forecast to be around 80%. A few storms may contain gusty winds with heavy rainfall.

Saturday: Some clouds may start off the morning with gradual clearing for the late morning. Sunny skies and cool temperatures are expected with morning lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s.
Sunday: Another chilly day is expected with morning lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s with highs in the upper 40s. Expect mainly sunny skies.
Monday: Similar weather is expected with morning lows in the upper 20s with highs in the mid 50s. Sunny skies are forecast to continue.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny skies are expected with some passing clouds as another front passes. The front looks to bring another major dose of Arctic air. Expect lows to be near freezing with highs in the 50s.
Wednesday: Morning lows near or below freezing are expected with highs in the lower 40s. 
Thursday: Morning lows may drop WELL into the 20s for Thursday with highs staying in the 40s.
