MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- There is no evidence of near-term tropical developments through the weekend and into early next week. The field of moisture in the western Caribbean is still creating excessive cloudiness and rain over Cuba, the Florida Straits, and the Bahamas this evening, which may persist through the weekend. Only faint indications of a weak, broad low have been noted, and anything that might try to develop will move over the western Atlantic.
Later next week, a similar plume of tropical moisture may shift into the southern Gulf of Mexico. It is too soon to highlight any enhanced risks for tropical cyclone development.
