MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- There are no direct hazards for the Big Bend region from the tropics.
Over the weekend, we will track a disturbance over the Carolinas, attached to a front that will stall over the western Atlantic. The disturbance may attempt to develop into a low-pressure system off the Florida east coast, which may increase the surf along the beaches and produce higher rain chances early next week along with occasional wind gusts.
There's a slight chance for the system to form into a tropical depression early next week, but no significant local impacts are forecast for our area through that time frame.
