TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- As of the 8:00 PM National hurricane Center update, there is only one area of interest in the tropics.
This area of interest is about 300 miles east of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and is moving northwest at about 10 to 15 mph through the weekend. Starting next week, this areas of disturbed weather is expected to begin moving in a northeastward direction and steer clear of the east coast of the US. This area of interest has a 60% chance of formation in the next five days.
