Friday evening Tropics check (10/14/2016)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Hurricane Nicole is being impacted by stronger upper-level winds and colder water temperatures in the north Atlantic Friday afternoon.  While the system will still be considerably strong, the cooler environment will hasten Nicole's transition to a post-tropical cyclone as it maintains movement to the northeast over the open ocean.

A disorganized area of moisture lingers in the far southern Caribbean Sea, but there are no indications of future development in the next couple of days.

There are no other areas of interest to track in the tropical Atlantic basin.
