Action in the tropical Atlantic basin remains rather tame heading into the weekend. Swift upper-level winds and a general lack of moisture will keep hindering the efforts of any disturbance to gain major organization.
One such disturbance a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles is being influenced by an upper low to the northwest of the system. Chances are minimal for future development. Regardless of what happens with it, it will remain in open waters and not pose any risk to the United States mainland.
