TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- There are still only two areas of interest in the Atlantic waters for tropical weather.
The first of which is in the western Caribbean Sea, southeast of the Yucatan Peninsula. As of now, this is just an area of disturbed weather, but conditions are favorable for gradual development. This area of interest will continue to move northwestward over the Yucatan Peninsula into the first part of the next week. The National Hurricane center has given this area a 60% chance of formation in the next 5 days.
The second area of interest is several hundred miles southwest of Cape Verde with a movement of 15 to 20 mph to the west. This area has a 60% chance of formation in the next 5 days.
Both areas will be continued to be watched and updates given.
