MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

Very similar to other evenings this week, passing showers and heavy rain, along with a couple of thunderstorms, will be lurking in our region.  Rain coverage should be limited, but where it rains, it can be briefly heavy. A few moderate wind gusts are also possible within the isolated stronger storms. Scattered clouds will remain overnight with lows in the mid and low 70s. Saturday's rain activity won't be starkly different; we will have fewer storms in the Suwannee Valley, focused mainly in the afternoon, with a few more areas of rain at times in the Flint and Chattahoochee river areas. Highs will be around the upper 80s to lower 90s.  Some eastern counties will have a slightly drier trend early next week that can boost temperatures. A cold front spreads more clouds and rain area-wide by next Wednesday.
