MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

North to west wind flow and a sinking air motion in the upper atmosphere, induced by Hurricane Florence, have zapped our rain chances for the rest of the evening. An isolated, brief shower is possible along the immediate coast because of the seabreeze, but widespread rain and storms aren't likely through tonight. Temperatures will remain very warm, even past sunset, with eventual lows reaching the mid 70s. Saturday will also be dry and abnormally hot, with forecast highs topping out in the mid 90s, and not much, if any, rain is expected. Sunday will feature a slight wind shift and some additional moisture, but not enough to increase rain chances. Typical late-day thunderstorms will resume starting Monday and continuing through most of next week.
