MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

The weather pattern through the weekend will remain steady and virtually unchanged, meaning morning sunshine will warm temperatures into the upper 80s and lower 90s for the afternoon. Scattered clouds will build, and a few showers and storms will scoot across the region, mainly from east to west. Isolated heavy rain and a strong storm is possible but shouldn't be widespread. Next week will feature similar weather conditions, with a shift in winds to more of an onshore flow. A cold front will slowly reach the Deep South and may provide a source of midweek moisture. Hurricane Florence is foreseen to come close to the U.S. East Coast; if it does, northeast winds locally may help cause further drying.
