MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the WTXL First Alert Weather Center ...

The weekend will start dry and mild in the morning, with lows in the middle 60s, with areas of mostly thin clouds increasing throughout Saturday. The cloud cover may prevent most areas from reaching record heat levels, but highs in the low and mid 90s are still expected. With a swirl of upper-level low pressure entering the eastern Gulf driving the increasing in clouds, scattered showers will follow by early next week.  Most local areas Sunday with just have the additional clouds without much rain activity, but rain coverage will increase in the eastern counties Monday and area-wide by Tuesday. The cloudiness will hold down the heat, but local rain totals may exceed a couple of inches through midweek.  A few thunderstorms will be thrown into the mix.  The disturbance has limited chance to become a formal organized subtropical system; the main consequence for the region will be periods of steady rain, which can be heavy at times.
