TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- A flood watch is in effect for almost every Florida county in the Big Bend until tomorrow evening. Periods of heavy rainfall are expected through that time.
In general, 3 inches of rain can be expected with some locations receiving upwards of 9 inches by Wednesday evening. Isolated cases of even higher rain totals are possible.
The low pressure that prompted this warning is continuing to move west, which will create more afternoon activity today and tomorrow.
There is also a flood warning for the Steinhatchee River near Cross City affecting Dixie and Taylor counties. Right now the river is causing minor flooding at 12.54 feet, the flood stage at 12.20 feet.
