TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:
Good Friday morning!
It's a mild start outside with temperatures in the 50's, considerably warmer than the past few mornings. We're going to see more clouds in the sky today along with highs climbing into the mid 70's. Winds will be from the southeast. Most areas will likely stay dry today, but storms are expected across the region this weekend.
Saturday, a line of strong and severe thunderstorms will enter the Florida Panhandle and reach some western counties in the tri-state region with damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado. The storms are forecast to weaken as they move east Sunday morning. Local severe weather chances are lower than other parts of the Gulf coast, but it's advised to be storm-aware Saturday evening and early Sunday as the activity starts impacting the area.
