TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:
Good Thursday morning!
It's our last cold morning for the remainder of the forecast with temperatures in the 30's again to kick off the day. Winds are slowly shifting from the southeast direction which will help pump moisture into the region leading to more cloud cover through today and warmer temperatures. Highs will climb into the lower 70's this afternoon with no chance for any rain. Further warming is expected through the weekend and most of next week, with highs in the mid 70s to lower 80s.
The weekend still features a chance for strong or severe storms, especially in areas near and west of the Ochlockonee and Flint rivers, weakening on Sunday. The highest severe-weather risk is forecast to remain west of the region. The bulk of shower and thunderstorm activity we see will begin further west late Saturday afternoon into the evening with a gradual weakening trend through early Sunday morning for areas further east.
