TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:
Good Thursday morning!
After a gorgeous, sunny New Year's Day we're going to start seeing more clouds fill in today and feel a bit warmer. Highs today will climb into the lower 70's with a mix of sun and clouds and no chance for rain. Shower coverage will become isolated overnight with increasing rain through Friday. It'll be a muggy feel when you step out tomorrow, lows are only dropping into the mid 60's.
We should see numerous to widespread rain through tomorrow with rainfall totals between 0.5-1.5". Locally higher amounts are possible, but widespread flooding shouldn't be an issue. A few stronger storms are possible, with damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado or two. The SPC has issued a marginal risk for the western 2/3 of the Big Bend Friday. This weekend we'll clear out by Saturday afternoon with sunshine and no rain in the forecast.
