TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:
Good Wednesday morning!
It's a cool start to the day with temperatures in the 50's and 60's. Skies are clear and humidity is low. We've got a gorgeous day in the forecast for today with highs climbing into the mid 80's with sunshine. Humidity will remain low through most of the afternoon with light winds and no rain chances. Overnight we'll see winds shift back from the south as a warm front lifts and brings back a muggy feel. That will set us up for potential severe weather tomorrow afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has issued an enhanced risk across the entire Big Bend and southern Georgia.
Through late morning and early afternoon we'll see a window where a few isolated storms could develop, and if so could become severe. This should be an isolated threat, with the more widespread storms moving through late in the afternoon and the evening. Our severe threat will present the opportunity for all modes of severe weather through Thursday, including heavy rainfall, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes. We'll clear out Thursday night through Friday morning. Be sure to stay weather aware through the day!
