TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:
Good Thursday morning! We've dried out since yesterday's storms but will begin to see showers and storms develop later this morning and persist through the afternoon and evening across the entire Big Bend. As a front sinks into southern Georgia, it will help trigger showers and storms bumping today's rain chances up to 70%, more than a typical summertime afternoon. Rain and more clouds will help some of us stay in the upper 80's for the high this afternoon with winds from the southwest. As this front stalls out across the southeast it will keep our rain chances higher than normal. A few inches of rainfall through the weekend is realistic, with isolated severe chances. Widespread flooding will not be an issue, though. Temperatures will be around the 90 degree mark through the weekend, giving us a break from the oppressive heat and humidity over the past week.
