TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:
Good Tuesday morning!
It's a mild start to the day with temperatures in the 60's and a sticky feel back in the air as southerly winds have brought back in more moisture to the region. Spotty showers will be possible this morning with some scattered showers and storms expected through the afternoon. Skies will be variably cloudy through the day with highs in the mid to upper 70's. Our next system approaching will bring a few rounds of active weather locally. Wednesday will feature times of heavy rain in interior counties north of I-10 with a few storms possible. Tomorrow we could see rainfall totals exceed an inch for some areas where the axis of heaviest rain sets up along and north of a warm front. Severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday with gustier wind and an isolated tornado possible as our next cold front passes through between the late morning and afternoon.. The end of the week will be drier and cooler beginning Friday into the weekend as pleasant weather settles in once again.
There are still some details to determine when it comes to the exact timing and location for the strongest storms later this week, so we will continue to update the forecast over the next few days. As always, be sure to follow the ABC 27 First Alert Weather Team on Facebook and Twitter and be sure to download the Storm Shield App on your phone for the latest watches, warnings, and advisories.
