TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Here's your forecast for the next four hours:

Good Wednesday morning and Happy New Year!

We're starting off the New Year with temperatures in the upper 30's and lower 40's- a bit chilly. Be sure to layer up as you leave the house today. We'll warm nicely this afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the lower 60's. We're staying dry all day today and most of Thursday as well. Tomorrow we're going to see increasing moisture across the area with southerly winds returning and some spotty showers possible tomorrow night into early Friday morning.

Friday will be a soggy day as our next cold front swings through. Rainfall totals should be around 0.5-1.5" with some isolated stronger storms possible. Parts of the Big Bend are under a marginal risk for severe weather Friday. We're going to clear out and dry out again with cool temperatures in store for the weekend.
