TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Despite the fact that hurricane season doesn't start until the beginning of June, there is a tropical-based system the Storm Team is monitoring.
A Bahama-based area of low pressure continues to gain a bit more organization as it moves into an area of warm Atlantic water with minimal upper-level winds.
As of now, it has a 50% chance of forming through the holiday weekend. It is drifting to the northwest, however whether it forms or not, there are likely to be minimal to no impacts in our area. All computer model guidance keeps it away for the Big Bend and south Georgia.
Stay tuned for further updates.
