WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Even though the academic year is winding down, fifth-graders at Shadeville Elementary used their waning days to learn more about meteorology before the kick-off of summer vacation.
Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse was invited to enhance and supplement the students' recent science lessons in weather. He discussed the steps in the water cycle in depth, and also covered lightning safety measures and broadcast weather techniques and technology.
About 100 youngsters and teachers were in attendance in the school's music room for the presentations.
