TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- An educational experience for the youngest students of Tallahassee's Oak Ridge Elementary School was enriched by leaders in the community.
Numerous members of local government, law enforcement, and other professional organizations and agencies took turns reading to several pre-kindergarten classes Wednesday morning. Among them was our First Alert Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse, reading Who Is the Beast? to about a dozen children in one Pre-K classroom.
The read-in was part of the "Helping Me Grow" mini-week of activities designed to cultivate enthusiasm for learning, continuing through Friday.
