EL PASO, TX (KXXV) - An El Paso man was arrested after being accused of supergluing his toddler’s eyes and mouth shut on Monday.

According to KVIA, 29-year-old Johnnie Carter is accused of supergluing his 14-month-old’s mouth and eyes shut during what was being described as a domestic incident.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by Odessa police. However, shortly after the incident, Carter fled shortly before the police arrived.

The U.S. Marshals Service did not specify the current condition of the child.

Carter was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a no bond warrant. He will face extradition to Ector County.
