TPD investigates shooting, crash death overnight

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) — Tallahassee Police are investigating what led up to a crash and shooting on the northwest side Friday night.

Police said it happened just after 11 p.m. at the intersection of West Tharpe Street and Fairlane Road.

Officers said when they arrived, they found a car crashed into a tree. The man in the driver's seat wasn't responding. Crews tried to help him, but TPD said the man died from his injuries, including a gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made at this time.
