FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Detectives in South Florida say they're investigating a toddler's death as a homicide.
The Broward Sheriff's Office reported in a news release Monday that an autopsy determined 2-year-old Za'mya Williams' death last week appears to be a homicide.
Emergency crews responded to the family's home near Fort Lauderdale early Thursday morning and found the little girl unconscious and unresponsive on a bed. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators weren't immediately reporting a cause of death.
No charges have been filed.
