A small area of showers and thunderstorms in the middle of the Atlantic basin has been given a 20% chance of development into a subtropical storm within the next 48 hours, and a 30% chance in the next 5 days. Regardless of development, it is not expected to impact the United States. Elsewhere, no tropical development is expected.
