An 8-year-old boy was hit in the face by a line-drive during Sunday's NCAA Baseball Tournament. Texas Tech was playing Louisville.
The boy, Ethan Chavez, is home from the hospital and his father says thankfully no bones were broken.
Waking up a year older and a little swollen. We are thankful everything turned out the way it did. He is really excited about all the attention. pic.twitter.com/7ROCt82fPY

His dad thanked the Tech Athletic Department for continually checking in on him Sunday night. He also thanked the players who went into the training room to see how Ethan was before he was taken to the hospital.
Today is Ethan and his twin brother Eric's 8th birthday!
