WICHITA, KS (KWCH-DT/CNN) - This weekend, you can tour the B-29 World War II plane known as "Doc."
Crews spent years restoring the plane that was built in the 1940's.
Ahead of the weekend tour, one of the original Rosie the Riveters, one of the women who helped build every B-29 made in Wichita, toured the factory, returning for the first time in seven and a half decades.
It's hard, nearly impossible really, to not smile when you're around Connie Palacioz.
At 92 years old, it's been nearly 75 years since she helped build B-29s.
Decked out in her old uniform, complete with a Rosie the Riveter pin, necklace and ear rings, Palacioz got to compare how she built planes to how Spirit builds them now.
As a woman and a Mexican-American in the 1940's, Palacioz was a trailblazer.
To women and minorities, she's a celebrity. That's why so many people stopped her to give her a hug or shake her hand.
"It feels great. I never thought I'd would be. I don't feel like a celebrity. I still feel like I'm calm, but it's great," Palacioz said.
The face of Rosie the Riveter, Palacioz even took the time to make the iconic pose.
She did not leave empty handed. Spirit gave her a modern-day riveter as a way to say thank you and as a memento of her first tour in nearly 75 years.
"I'm going to keep it, and I have one of the other ones and I'm going to put it in the collection there with my stuff," Palacioz
