NEW BEDFORD, MA (WCVB/CNN) - A Massachusetts woman is celebrating her 110th birthday with friends, family and a little bourbon.

Irene Miller, of New Bedford, Mass., has lived through the depression, the beginning of radio and television and a man on the moon.

She's being celebrated as likely the oldest person in New Bedford. At 110, born in 1908, she's outlived her husband, sisters and brothers.

When asked what's her secret to living this long, Irene said she's eating well, calling stuffed quahogs a favorite, and she loves her bourbon.

"Back in the day, it was always Old Grandad Manhattan, sweet vermouth with three cherries," said Irene's grandson Tom Miller. "I don't know where the three cherries comes from, it's just if she doesn't have three... I don't lie, I had to go out and buy a jar of cherries, just to put one more in three."

For her birthday, she asked for cards and received 3,400.

Happy Birthday, Irene!
