(WFLA/CNN) - A woman said she was almost raped after a man invaded her home, demanding her valuables and forcing her onto a bed.
The suspect in recently released security footage shows a man casing a young woman's home in St. Petersburg, FL on Wednesday night.
While there, he propped open a window so he could come back later - and he did.
"When he was there earlier, he had positioned it so he could get in easier, so I think I heard him jumping the fence," the victim, who chose to remain anonymous, said.
She said she had no idea the suspect had been there while she was out for a ride on her bike.
Once the suspect was inside, he walked with the woman to her purse, demanding money and valuables.
"He was a professional, I believe," the woman said. "He had gloves on, he had a hoodie on, he had a mask on. So, he wasn't trying to touch many things."
Then, they returned to her bedroom, where the suspect forced her onto a bed.
She was convinced the intruder was going to rape her, so she escaped to her open window and screamed for help.
"I just said, 'You can take my stuff, you can take everything that you want, but you can't take my body,' and I just went for it," she said.
Someone nearby heard her cries for help and called 911 while the suspect escaped her home.
St. Petersburg detectives have been working the case and hope to identify the suspect soon.
