LAUREL COUNTY CORRECTIONAL CENTER, KY (CNN) - Kentucky police arrested a woman on Monday night who they say poured gasoline on her husband and then lit him on fire.
Vera Wooten's arrest citation says that when she saw her husband in a car with another woman, she pulled him out and began beating him.
The other woman drove away and called 911 when she looked back and saw the man on fire. Wooten, 40, then drove her husband to a local hospital.
He had burns over half of his body and had to be airlifted to a Cincinnati hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Wooten faces assault charges.
